Wednesday, July 1 will be primarily men's singles matches. All other divisions will likely start on July 2 unless courts are available earlier. Participants must be prepared to play at any time during the tournament.

Any amateurs participating in a tournament offering prize money must precisely follow the rules governing their conduct in a field containing professionals. Our prime concern is that no high school, collegiate or amateur athlete will in any way jeopardize their amateur standing or school or athletic association playing eligibility. All the current rules and regulations concerning amateurs in a prize money event are located on the NCAA tennis web site: www.itatennis.com. All players are individually responsible for providing their own seeding information to the tournament administration, which will be copied to the seeding committee. The committee may not have access to all your information, though we strive to find as much out as is possible about each player. We strive to provide as accurate a seeding process as is possible. If we are not familiar with you, or your past results, it is in your best interests to provide us with as much information as possible. The committee considers all info we have access to, but is not limited to, any of the following sources. The committee considers all sources of information and usually, but not always, places the most weight on the most current results. A past highly ranked player returning form an injury rehab or surgery may be judged a higher seed due to previous results.

1. ATP or WTA rankings for the last three years.
2. NCAA, (ITA) rankings for the last three years.
3. ITF and internationals results for the last three years.
4. USTA National rankings for the last three years.
5. USTA Sectional Rankings for the last three years.
6. USTA National junior rankings.
7. COGP/Tennisfax rankings.
8. Comparable opponent results.
9. Head to head competition.

Travel Tip . . . It's usually best to call these hotels directly and request special rates for the weekend that a specific tournament is running. Don't go through the national 800 reservation system, they rarely have local special rates on file. Turnover tends to be high among national chain hotel management. We have had special rates at many hotels in the past, and after a management change, they may no longer be available. On the positive side, many hotels are running their own weekend specials. If you just ask, many times they will give you a special discount, just to fill the hotel for the weekend, which is usually their slowest time of the week.

This tournament is part of the USTA Midwest Open Series. The USTA Midwest is contributing a large portion of the prize money for this years tournament in the men's and women's open divisions. The amount in parenthesis will be paid by check to the recipients and dispersed from the Midwest office in Indianapolis. The checks will be mailed from the Midwest office on July 9 to your address listed on your USTA membership. Please make sure your addresses are up to date if you have money coming. For tax purposes, the USTA will issue a 1099 to recipients if your winnings are high enough to require the issuance.

Guaranteed for Ms and Ws. Amounts for all other divisions are determined by number of entries (full draws = 100% of prize money).
