PRIZE
MONEY BREAKDOWN & SCHEDULE
Payout
entry minimum - is the minimum number of singles individuals,
or doubles teams, needed to be entered in a specific
division to pay the full amount of the prize money allocated
for that division. If the number of entries is below
the required entry minimum, then the prize money for
that division will be paid as percentages of the total
amount of money collected in that division.

champ (singles only) 7.5% of the division's receipts
Men's
Open singles and doubles always pays the full amount
due to their large number of entries. Last year we had
72 Men's Open singles entries and 29 Men's Open doubles
teams. Some of the other divisions just make the minimum,
others singles divisions may have only 4 entries, so
the winner would receive $56 (35% of $160) and so on
down the line.

These
estimates of event scheduling are based on the past
five years worth of experience related directly to the
size of the draws in each division. Some long matches
may cause others to run to midnight, or beyond . We
have averaged between 70 and 80 entries in the men's
open singles in the last five years. Men's Open singles,
by itself, takes two days to whittle this number down,
in a 128 draw format with first match consolation backdraw,
to a size where other events can take place. The first
and second day are usually 48 matches of men's open
singles competition. Men's open singles will definitely
begin on Dec. 26 due to the fact we are expecting a
large number of entries again. The other events usually
commence on the third or fourth day depending on the
draw size. If an event only has four entries, only two
days are required to complete it. All finals and back
draw finals will be scheduled on Saturday, December
30 between noon and 8 PM.
Note
- Some of the larger doubles events, men's open doubles
in particular, may have the semi finals and finals scheduled
on Dec. 30.
